Service Description
Duration – 8 hours Fitness Level – easy but includes a slow, paved climb of 120 metres. Departing from outside the Criterion Hotel at 10:30am, we'll drive to St Christoper's Chapel, a reminder of the sacrifices of the more than 70,000 troops stationed nearby Rockhampton in World War 2. Next it's on to John and Lillian Leaver's amazing crocodile farm for lunch and an included up close tour learning about these ancient predators. A short drive on and we're at tribute to Captain James Cook, the Singing Ship, to hear it well... sing. 10 minutes further on and it's time to stretch our legs on the 2.3km Bluff Point Circuit. We'll be looking out for birds, sea turtles and dolphins on this paved, medium grade walk, before heading to a little-known tavern in a rustic rural precinct for a well-earned beer. Drop off in Rockhampton 6:30pm.
